Juveniles in Need of Protection or Services (JIPS) proceedings can be brought when either: (1) the juvenile has been deemed uncontrollable at home and the parent requests that the court take jurisdiction; (2) the juvenile is habitually truant from school or home; (3) the juvenile is a school drop-out; OR (4) the child is under the age of ten and has committed a delinquent (criminal) act.
I can defend the rights of these juveniles, and help them successfully maneuver through the court process. I can also aid in a juvenile’s understanding and compliance with any court order by working with the Department of Health and Human Resources.
